I have been on my quest of gaining about 20 lbs since the start of the June but have not been getting the result that I want, one of the reasons being that I do not think that I have the proper diet of doing so. Kettlebell presses are awesome and I do them every day, I have a few rules for the kettlebell press I’d like to share.

Firstly the kettlebell press is only as good as your kettlebell clean, make no bounds about it the clean is fundamental and if you have your foundations wrong the rest will only end in disaster.

Stay tight throughout the kettlebell press, do not get lose, think of your body like a concrete foundation, when you have a solid foundation you can jack up a 10 tonne truck without any worries. If you have weak foundations like dirt ground, you’d be lucky to jack up a mini, the jack will bury itself into the ground. So will you if you do not have a solid frame when doing the kettlebell press.

Finally, emphasis should be laid out onto the shoulders and lats during the movement, no silly bicep presses or floppy wrists.
